A 1999 Vitra La Chaise designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the 1948 Low Cost Furniture competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, but was never produced. Vitra was responsible for La Chaise's first actual production in the 1990s as an item available for purchase by the public. This is an early Vitra example, with polyurethane body on a chrome frame and natural oak feet finished in iconic lacquered eggshell finish. In good condition with wear commensurate with age.
