Very Large Colorful French Ceramic Vase, 1960s

This berry-colored ceramic vase feels very much of the 1960s. The deep, raspberry red and candy blue colors are strewn around the vase like tie-dye--the red blooms across the widest part of the vase and trails down the bottom over the blue background, ending in striking sharp points. Later, the blue peeks out again near the neck as the red stretches like fingers toward the top. The result is an eye-catching, colorful work of art that feels at once exuberant and organic.
