Description
This is a unique desk, called the “working table” by Bodil Kjaer when she designed it in 1959. Produced by E. Pedersen & Søn in Denmark, this particular piece was made on request in the early 1960s with an adjusted leather top, in Brazilian Rosewood with chromed steel feet. This freestanding piece is probably the most iconic midcentury desk ever designed, appearing in three James Bond movies (From Russia with Love – 1963, You only Live Twice - 1967, On Her Majesty's Secret Service-1969), and more recently in Kingsman, 2014. Four drawers pullout / pull-out smoothly for ample storage space, with one-drawer can be locked by key, while the wide, spacious top allows for plenty of room for writing, drawing, and working in style. This very rare architectural piece has been fully restored with traditional stamp varnishing method, and is in mint condition, waiting for its new home
