In the 2007-2008 exhibition Furniture Design in the Atomium in Brussels you could get acquainted with the structural furniture of Willy Van Der Meeren. This table, the T1, was also on display. The table is very rare and are therefore proud to be able to offer one to our audience. Tubax in Vilvoorde was the manufacturer of the Van Der Meeren furniture. In the photos I try to show that this table has not been spared the scratches and discolouration either, but I suggest that a potential customer should come by anyway. The black lacquered legs are made of metal and the formica top is gray with a black band around it. You can also see the dimensions on the photos. Biography: Willy Van Der Meeren was born in Lebbeke on August 7, 1923 studiedarchitecture in Brussels 1948. Was an architect for TUBAX for many years. Willy was toomember of the Alpha group and manager of the magazines Architecture, Bouwenand Living, and from the Dutch monographic series Living in the Low Countries. Gavealso lessons in various high schools. Willy died on May 16, 2002 in Kortbeek-Lo.
