Description

Vintage pendant model SP01 'Spiral lamp' by Danish Designer Verner Panton by 1st manufacturer J. Lüber, Switzerland, 1970s. Verner Panton designed the 'Spiral series' in 1969 that can be regarded as a further development of the iconic Fun series lamps. Instead of discs made of shell or aluminium, Verner Panton used plastic spirals of different lengths, which were joined together to form spheroid shapes. This specific pendant comes from the first and single owners, a modernist Dutch family who purchased the pendant in Germany in the 1970s. We are sharing two images that we received from the family that shows this exact pendant hanging in their wonderful 1970s interior. A unique glimpse into the history of this exact pendant. The light effect from this spiral series when illuminated is magnificent. See final image from the important 'Varna Restaurant' in Arhus Denmark that Verner Panton commissioned the interior for in 1971. The luminaire can provide a golden sweem to light or a brighter color of light depending what light source is chosen. See both variations shown on our images. Ready to use in the US.
