Large Pair of Brass Sconces by Maison Romeo, 1970s

Five intricately crafted bulbs form these large wall sconces made entirely of brass. French designer Maison Romeo created the pieces to represent the bright orange species of mushroom girolles, or chanterelle. Each sconce, like the girolles mushroom, has a large bulb on the bottom, followed by several smaller bulbs; delicate crinkling around the edges of each bulb tapers down into the stem.
