This chandelier is typical of self-proclaimed Avant Garde designer of the first half of the 20th century, Jacques Adnet. Made from gunmetal and brass, it has a decidedly modern feel, edging on Industrial. A minimalist structure is segmented into two symmetrical sections, with three arms on either side. The creamy, bordered lampshades for each bulb are original. In the center hangs a single gunmetal loop. The piece makes great use of different shapes, including those created by empty space, like the wide triangle formed in the middle. Like all of Adnet’s work, this chandelier seems to come from a place of truly unique, personal design and is high-quality made. Highly decorative, but functional, it would be a chic addition to a contemporary dining room, producing a warm, rich light throughout the space.
