Description
An exceptionally fine quality mid-19th century all carved wood and gilt mirror, with original gilding and original plate. Overlapping bars adorned with three-dimensional drapes and wreaths of carved European flora create the principle rectangular frame surrounding the inner oval. The original central oval shaped mirror is finished with a 3cm bevelled edge, while the four corner mirrors add further depth to the decorative expanse. Very good in original condition, the original gilding is beautifully bright with some light surface wear.
