An 18th century engraving made during the Daniell brothers' journey through India, these prints focused on representing a 'pure' landscape, offering the world the first detailed representation of Hindu and Muslim architecture. A hand-finished aquatint print from the elephant-folio edition of the Daniell's 'Oriental Scenery', published from 1795 to 1808. This aquatint measures 45 x 63cm within the platemark. The print is titled, 'An Hindoo Temple, at Deo, in Bahar'.
