Description

Made by Elma van Leuzen, the Netherlands in the 1980s, the black and white ceramic sculpture is formed by hand before firing and glazing to achieve an abstract shape. The eggshell cracking effect with irregular veins in the glaze is created using Raku firing technique, a unique form of pottery making with its origins in Japan.
