Description
The delicious, rule-breaking elements of postmodern design are evident in this large coffee table by Italian design firm Driade. The ample and creative use of color and materials is reminiscent of renowned Austrian designer Ettore Sottsass, from the delightful, colored wood balls, to the grey metal feet, to the smoky, opaque white glass surface. The metal feet are strategically bent to appear almost fluid, and the colors chosen for the decorative wood balls feel whimsical and artsy, due to their deliberate lack of symmetry. This unique coffee table is found in very good vintage condition.
