Description
First edition, slipcased, published by Yale University Press, 2006
Edited by Renate Petzinger and Barry Rosen, with Annette Spohn and Jörg Daur.
This all-encompassing set presents the work of Eva Hesse across two volumes, divided in to painting in volume I and sculpture in volume II. The books are copiously illustrated, with 133 works documented in volume I, including test pieces, finished works and student works, and volume II presenting Hesse’s many sculptural pieces produced between 1965 and 1970. Tactile and unpredictable, the works show an affinity with material and form, and the influence of Eva Hesse is still visible today.
