First edition, slipcased, published by Helly Nahmad Gallery, London, 2006. This beautifully constructed book features paintings made by Picasso between 1955 and 1961, during the time he lived at 'La Californie', a late Art Nouveau villa situated in the city of Cannes. The photographs vary between Picasso's series of paintings inspired by Delacroix's 'Les Femmes D'Alger', to interior shots of his home and studio. Adorned with a number of tipped-in plates, as well as a series of quotes taken from Picasso, and other writers.
