Symfoni flush, pair of ceiling flush lights by Preben Dal in the early 1960s and produced by H. Følsgaard Elektro - extremely rare pair of Danish white and gray ceiling flush lights in very good vintage condition!
A pair of enchanting origami-like ceiling flush lights, each comprised of six tiers of white rhomboid shaped steel elements, carefully arranged to form a cone-like shape hanging from a dark gray pentagon shaped steel top shade. Towards the ceiling, and on top of the dark gray top shade, sits a white mounting box.
The arrangement of white steel elements narrows towards bottom, thus giving way for emitted light to escape between the white elements. The result is a very soft, diffused illumination, while still providing excellent reflection of the soft light to the entire room.
Truly a pair of sculptural and jaw-dropping beauties, alight as well as idle! And with their excellent lighting quality, they would be a gorgeous addition to any hallway, living room or dining room.
In the early 1960s Preben Dal designed the lighting Series, Symfoni, consisting of flush lights and pendants in different arrangement of the white rhomboid shaped steel elements. All were produced by H- Følsgaard Elektro. Although there is little to no information to find about the designer or the lights, the Symfoni-lamps are highly sought after today. All we have been able to find on the designer Preben Dal is that he had a Design Studio with Danish architect Ole Bang in the period 1959 to 1976.
An extremely rare pair of Symfoni Flush - not seen on the market very often, and both lights are in very good vintage condition with few normal signs of usage and age. The original hooks, that secures the white elements to the dark gray top shade have been replaced by the previous owner.
