Garry Winogrand, Winogrand 1964 Book 2002

First edition, hard cover, published by Arena Editions, New Mexico, 2002. In 1964 Garry Winogrand spent four months travelling America and taking photographs and spent the remainder of the year in New York continuing to document. These beautiful, often humorous images document a key change in the culture of the United States, from one of innocence and tradition, to one of consumerism. Winogrand’s photographs have a feeling serendipity giving an air of optimism to his self professed earnest documentation of a changing culture.
