Extra Large Stilnovo Style Metal Opaline Glass Wall Light, Red, Italy, 1960s

Article: Wall lights sconces with opal glass shades. Origin: Italy Age: 1960s Description: original 1960s modernist Italian wall lights made of solid metal in red lacquer tone and opal glass elements in the middle. the light has a huge size of 47cm in diameter. the front plates seems to be relacquerd in red later, several years ago, as the backside red, which seems to be the original overall color is much more patinated and not as strong and shining red colored as the frontside (see images) the light has a E27 light socket for bulbs, the is covered by opal shades what creates a nice indirect light atmosphere. The shade is screwed on the wall fixing element with there screws (visible on one of the images). The origin of this light is Italy, and remembers in the style and design of Stilnovo and Gio Ponti.
