Ernesto Gismondi Sintesi Table Lamp

A table lamp designed from the Sintesi range designed by Ernesto Gismondi. Gismondi founded Artemide in 1960 which to this day produces some of the most innovative and interesting lighting that comes from Italy. The Sintesi range was well ahead of its time and although predates postmodernism bears seminal characteristics of the movement. A close friend of Sottsass, Gismondi provided the capital to get the Memphis Milano collective off the ground and into production and remains a major shareholder. PAIR AVAILABLE. In good original condition. Joint slightly loosened on one, but not enough to affect function. Original wiring - working and earthed, but not tested. H48cm x W10cm.
