Description
This biography, written by Peter Adam, a friend of Eileen Gray in her later years and admirer of her work, documents with many images the designer’s productive and near forgotten life and work. After becoming a prominent designer between the 20s and 40s, Gray and her work fell in to obscurity for many years, until a chance auction of art collector Jacques Drouot’s collection brought a 4-panel screen to the fore, making over thirty-six thousand dollars and sparking the interests of collectors and the design-conscious.
First edition, published by Thames and Hudson, 1987
