This is a vintage designer coffee table. A Dutch, slate and brass brutalist artwork from the Tableaux series by Paul Kingma, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1980. Superb opportunity to grace your living room with a Kingma piece Displays a desirable aged patina throughout Inlaid slate within stone frame a highly distinctive hallmark of the designer Accentuated with shimmering brass decorations in geometric forms Standing upon a stout square foot, each side dressed with an individual piece of slate Paul Kingma (1931 - 2013) was a Dutch mosaic artist with a love of Brutalist design, which was a hallmark of his furniture from the 1970s and onwards. During the following decade, Kingma accentuated his 'Tableaux' series with found materials such as fossilised wood and coins. A student of art schools in The Netherlands and London, each piece is a one of one example — Kingma once claimed that his next table was going to be the most beautiful. This is a superb vintage designer coffee table, one to delight collector's of Kingma's work or to decorate a feature room in a home or institution.
