Description
This book was originally published for Verner Panton's birthday in 1986, then reissued in this edition, in a smaller run of 5000 in 1998, the year of the designers death. He is known for his rebellious and experimental approaches for furniture design, initially working for Arne Jacobsen, and later leaving to establish his own career. Many of the designs are synonymous with the 1960s, using bright flowing colours and psychedelic shapes. Many of his chair designs, for example the tounge-like 'Panton chair', are still produced by Vitra, and have become a timeless classic.
Second edition. This edition is 3729 of 5000, published by Bording Grafik, 1998.
