Wall sculpture by Danish artist Henrik Horst in the 1970s - abstract metal sculpture on hessian backed frame and in very good vintage condition!
A gorgeous wall sculpture in metal with red and yellow metallic tones in the metal on its original hessian backed frame.
Danish artist Henrik Horst is born in 1942 and after study tours in Holland, Spain and France, he made his first appearance as artist in 1970 in Denmark. During the 1970s he produced a wide range of wall sculptures with different metal finishes. He created and welded these amazing geometric shapes from recycled metal and iron elements.
Many pieces are on hessian backed frames, but he also created wall sconces for candles with a diameter of 2" /5 cm.
The wall sculpture I have for sale measures 36.2" x 16.5" (92 cm x 42 cm) - the frame is 1.6" (4 cm) in depth, but the sculpture actually projects about 3.1" (8 cm).
It would be a decorative wall piece and create an authentic retro feeling in the modern home - perhaps in the living room or at the end of a hall way - and it is in very good vintage condition with few signs of usage and age.
