First edition, published by Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1959. A collection of photographs taken by Cecil Beaton while in Japan. Printed on white satin pages, with a preface accompanied by ink drawings printed on a grey/green textured paper stock. Beaton writes of all aspects of his experiences in Japan, and aside the photographs, creates a picturesque portrait of the beautiful country and culture.
Condition: Fine condition dust jacket and book. Very little wear. Some very slight spot on dust jacket, and inscription on first end paper.
