Description
An exceptional pair of bronze round push and pull door handles in the shape of clocks with original patina. These door handles which once hung on the of a clock seller entrance is a timeless reminder of the start and end of the day. Timekeeping devices dates back to when man first observed astronomical bodies as they traveled across the sky. The Ancient Egyptians created the sundial, a device to measure time by the movement of the sun. Leonardo da Vinci had produced the earliest known drawings of a pendulum in 1493–1494. The identical handles can be applied inside or outside on a pair of double doors next to each other or on a single door on opposite sides. They can also make cupboard doors and kitchen units look out of this world. The handle brackets are attached to the main plate by two fixings. The handles are fitted to the door with two long standard bolts (not supplied) suiting the thickness of the doors. Distance of the holes 14 cm, diameter holes 7 mm.
