Description
Late 19th century Louis XVI style antique marble fireplace surround in rouge marble. The twin thickness rectangular shelf is set above a panelled frieze with applied Belgium black marble lozenges which is flanked by a pair of square capitals also with black marble lozenges supported on moulded and fluted corbels above panelled jambs decorated as the frieze. We currently have a pair of these fire surrounds available, circa 1890.
