Description
Large Mid Victorian Scottish cast iron fireplace grate with arched aperture detailed with bead detail. The basket itself is very ornate with a central detail above a cast fire back in the manner of a clam shell or fan.
A clear registration mark dates the registration of this piece to 24th September 1858. The pattern was then protected for a further 3 years.
