A set of 12 Botanical engravings by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann from the rare first edition of ‘Pytanthoza Iconographia’ . This was a pioneering work as it made successful use of the colour-printed mezzotint process retouched in transparent or opaque watercolour . Presented in bespoke frames behind TruVu glass which cuts reflection and offers some UV protection. Switzerland 1737
