With a repeated fan motif. Hand-made in a deckle and subsequently hand-coloured, colour by colour.
Provenance: Collection of Francis Menotti (b. 1938) of Yester House, East Lothian
These would have been commissioned by wealthy households in Japan at the end of the 19th/beginning of the 20th century, to decorate the panels on their sliding room screens.
