A 1963 deconstructivist sculpture handmade from resin coated papier-mâché by artist, William Black. In good condition.
The artist William Black:
Worked as an architect just after the second world war, in the early 1950s he inherited some money from a member of his family and decided to retire early to pursue his interest in art. He moved to the St Ives area of Cornwall, self taught he met and collaborated with other artists of the time such as Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth and was a close acquaintance of John Tunnard.
